In an upcoming series of posts, I plan to port over a bunch of stories I’ve been telling on Facebook about this year’s Des Moines anti-torture vigils. Our entirely legal (and very small) protests have been an unusual spectacle amongst the generally pristine surroundings of West Des Moines. This led to some amusing encounters with police and mall security guards, as well as the birth of the Thomas J. Buxtehude character whom you may have seen in our previously posted Dragonfist videos.
