I just updated the Music section of the Unwed Sailor Web site with full-length streams of two songs from their new album, The White Ox. Head over there to hear a newly revised, instrumental version of “Pelican” and re-mastered version of “Gila”, if you’re interested.

Continuing the trend of new Tracing the Seams material, Wesley has updated the gallery there to include four new images from his travels. Have a look!

Today there’s a new gallery up that I just completed at Tracing the Seams. Inside, you can see a pretty large amount of photos taken by Wesley and one or two from my own photo-snapping fingers.

Today brings a bit of bad news from Unwed Sailor’s fall booking agent:

"I’m very sorry to say this, but due to personal circumstances beyond anyone’s control Unwed Sailor has been forced to cancel their entire tour. The reasons are far complicated and I don’t even know half of it, but certain members of the band were at the last minute unable to be a part of this tour. Due to loss of these members, there is absolutely no way Johnathon or the rest of the guys can continue this tour.

There is nothing Johnathon and the rest of the guys wanted more than to be out there playing these shows. We were expecting these to be some of the best shows to date as the band just finished successful tours with Murder By Death, Appleseed Cast and MeWithoutYou. The response to this tour so far has been amazing and the amount of press and promotion that went into the tour by the band, their label, you guys has been very strong.

The band promises to move on and get back on their feet as soon as possible and re-schedule these dates in the next couple of months.

I put up a new piece of writing from Wesley at Tracing the Seams today, called “More Delusions of Grandeur.” In other news, I finally took the Cardboard Canary chat section down after about five years of running. Although it was still being used, it was getting pretty buggy, so I decided to take it down for the time being, until I can get something better up and running.

Wesley just recently finished up an introduction sequence to Tracing the Seams, which I edited and connected to the main site today. I think that it’s a very nice way to introduce people to Wesley’s goals for the site. If you’re interested (and you had better be), take a look by clicking here!

A great deal of work has yielded a new feature over at Tracing the Seams. You can now submit your own writings, photography or letters to the site in the Contact section. Wesley will look the submissions over, and if he finds them well-written, he may choose to have them published in the Writings section of the site. Photography submissions will also be considered for an upcoming gallery.
