Re-Splicery: Placebo Katz
Persistent Disparate Interchange seems to be spreading around a bit as people become more aware of its Web presence. Placebo Katz has posted it as part of their ongoing entries on animation, video and other oddities. If anyone else happens to make a prominent post about it, let me know, and I might link it here.

Robyn Miller has now officially anounced the new short film on his Tinselman blog. Click here to go read his remarks on Dismissive-Complacent Disorder, and leave your own using the comment box at the bottom of the page.
Robyn Miller: Re-Splicery
Moving along at a rapid pace of updates, I’m happy announce you can now watch both Persistent Disparate Interchange and Dismissive-Complacent Disorder at the new Re-Splicery site I’ve created for the project. While in the past the videos have been a tad difficult to access due to their address-barless pop-up packaging, the new link should be easy to pass along to friends, and, perhaps more importantly, it alerts them to the fact that they need the Flash 8 plug-in to watch the videos. (It also has working links to the large versions of the video for anyone who might be using the problem-causing Internet Explorer betas.)

Alongside the Dismissive-Complacent Disorder video that I had mentioned last week, I also noted that over the summer, my brother Wesley and I have been developing a Web site to hold his writings and photographs. Well, now the Web site is finally up and running at www.tracingtheseams.com, and there’s a lot of interesting stuff to read! Take a look when you have some time! A lot of it is very thought-provoking…and not just because he’s my brother.

As I noted last week, I have been working hard on a followup to the Persistent Disparate Interchange music video I made with my brother Wesley last month for composer Robyn Miller. This new one, called Dismissive-Complacent Disorder, was carefully planned around a simple, and very tragic concept which manifested itself in a lot of the old footage I had been sorting through. It makes use of Robyn’s beautiful, sparse “Selenitic Mystgate” from the Myst soundtrack, and is available for viewing right here.

A poem entitled “Typical Angst” is headed your way soon! Imagine the joy as you bask in its 90’s grunge glory!

Tracing the Seams: “Irresistable Idealism vs. Restricted Realism”
Here’s another image from the upcoming Tracing the Seams site. I’m particularly fond of this poem’s title. You’ll get to read it soon here.

Unwed Sailor: They Never Stop Touring
Wow. How many times can I post a news update about new Unwed Sailor tour dates? Those people are heavily disturbed. It’s as though they won’t be able to sleep at night if they don’t get their daily injection of touring. I’ve seen the disease-ridden needles and it’s far from a beautiful sight. Anyway, today, I announced another round of tour dates on the official Unwed Sailor site, including a couple in Iowa, which should be of interest to some of you who, eh, listen to my musical recommendations. Also, as I mentioned last week, things are continuing wrap up on the two new projects. Tracing the Seams has only three out of 23 pieces of writing left to finish up, and my new short film based on Robyn Miller’s music is totally finished, aside from a minor copyright issue we’re trying to sort through. That’s all to say that you can probably expect to see them pretty soon.

No. Not like the band. A poem by that name is coming soon. One that will be draped overtop this image.
