An Umbrella
Blake, Erik and I arrived in Iowa Tuesday afternoon, and have immediately set to work practicing the new songs we’ve written over the past year out west. After meeting with drummer Robby Ogden, we’ve decided against our initial “two band” idea, and instead are planning to perform all of our new material under the name An Umbrella. So, with practices planned for nearly every day of the week, we’re working hard to be able to perform live and record as soon as the music is in its best form. Thanks again to everyone for being patient, whilst we’ve wandered around writing for the past year. We think the new music is going to be well worth it.

On Wednesday, Erik and Blake arrived in Las Vegas with their cars loaded with equipment and clothing. So, here we are, hopefully just a couple of days away from leaving. Blake’s having his van looked at by a mechanic today, so hopefully that goes well. The plan is to take off for Utah this weekend, and hopefully arrive in Iowa sometime late next week. Meanwhile, I’ve been trying to turn my focus more toward the new An Umbrella Web site, rather than the old Cardboard Canary one, which means less updates and information, but I think once the transition is over, the new site will offer a whole lot more than this. Meanwhile, Bradford’s band, Rosefield Rivals, have added more dates to their tour, which can now be found in the updated Shows section. I’ll try to get at least one more show video up soon, but after that, I believe it’ll be time to leave the Cardboard Canary material behind, and focus on the new stuff.
