Final Show Videos
Many of you have requested videos of the final Cardboard Canary show from last month, and after a freaking ton of trouble, I finally have the first of many (I hope) of these final videos. To start out, I’m feeding you the tasty biscuit of “Anxious Am I,” (12.3 MB) since it was never released on an album. Coming up next, I suspect you’ll find “Agape” since it falls into the same category. Request what you want in the little discussion area, and perhaps you’ll see it in the near future. Videos from the first Vaudeville Mews show are also up for grabs if requested.
In other news, we still plan on beginning the drive back to Iowa in just three weeks to begin work on the two new bands with Robby. We’re all very much looking forward to getting back to our collaborative art.

Rosefield Rivals Tour Dates
As some of you may have noticed, Bradford’s new band is up and running at a rather fast pace. In addition to Bradford on vocals/guitar, Rosefield Rivals also includes Elliot Tommingo on bass/vocals, Jeff Krantz on guitar/vocals, and Aaron Buzbee on drums – all former members of Half the Facts. The group has set eight dates for live performances slated for this month and September around Iowa, Indiana, and Tennessee. They also have their first recording scheduled for an August 18th release at their House of Bricks show. Their tour dates are available in the Shows section, while the Half the Facts Web site is now the main source of information regarding this band. Meanwhile, Blake, Erik and I are toiling away at perfecting our newly written material in hopes for a quick start when rejoining Robby in about five weeks, if all goes as planned.

In a bizarre turn of events, the current plan of moving to California changed during our visit in Iowa. Now, in a matter of five weeks, the plan is for Blake, Erik and I to all move back to Iowa to join forces with Robby for new studio recordings for our new music, which will replace the Cardboard Canary material. The current idea is to have two bands – one which Blake and Erik will lead with their material, and the other which I will lead with my own, making only small member changes between the two groups. New information on my band will be available at the in-progress www.AnUmbrella.com. Oh yes, and I’m planning to work on that live video stuff today. I’ve been sick this past week, which has made things a bit difficult… Until the next update, may the furred sparrows of Mt. Xavier warm your plump, naked toes during the months of frost, if they should come unexpectedly. May their fur-wings beat rapidly about your cheeks, and may the edges of their beaks bend upward in the form of tiny smiles as they do so.
