More Old Music Now Available

May 12th, 2004 | Category: Music

For those of you who are Elmo fans, this announcement should be of special interest. You can now find versions of both the original and unedited versions of “Helpless” in the Audio section. The original has never been available online, and ran over seventeen minutes in length. This was the version we performed live. The edited version is the more widely heard version, which is the best choice if your attention span is short and/or your tolerance for self-indulgent instrumental jam sessions is low. Take your pick. Enjoy.

Madagascar Hissing Cockroach

May 08th, 2004 | Category: Bilville, Video

Well, the screenplay has been finished and is now in editing/pre-production stages, and has had good responses thus far. We’ve talked about filming it this summer in the swine-infested motherland of Iowa, so perhaps that will happen. Also, drummer Andy Roberts, who played in Cardboard Canary for the shows in Phoenix last fall is currently working with me on recording drums for the "Vegas Anesthetic Peddler" demo (Audio). We hope to do the same for "Three Pronged Fork" when this is finished. In less amazing news, I’m back to work doing Web site design again for a glass company here in Vegas. In possibly the most amazing news, as rehearsal for the film, I purchased a Madagascar hissing cockroach and froze it overnight. I then thawed it a little, so it would move around just a bit, then attached near-invisible magic string to its antennas with wax. My brother then puppeteered it while I filmed the little wretch. If this sounds confusing, it should.
