Blake, Erik, Bradford, Robby Updates
I heard from Erik a couple days ago, who filled me in on the latest with he and Blake’s new project. The two of them have a fair amount of material written, and are currently auditioning bassists. They’re also set to record a bit of material sometime in the near future. Bradford’s most recent project was acting in Ben Anderson’s short film, "Waking Without." He and Robby’s current plans are to attend college this fall in Iowa, where they will study music, particularly jazz. That’s the latest with them. Last on today’s list of updates is the answer to a request for a live recording of "Floating At 35 Miles Up," which you’ll find in the Audio section.

News! News! News! My former bandmates and I are now in the process of discussing doing a studio recording of “The Usual Delve” as a one-time project this summer, along with the Vaudeville Mews show on July 2nd. I am also in the midst of writing a screenplay to be used by the marvelous film-maker Ben Anderson, whose short film took second place in the ISUMUG Film Festival this year. It should be very interesting to see what comes of this latest project. Sir Anderson and I are both very excited about working together. More details as we progress. And now, to fill a request for live footage. The live MP3 of “The Usual Delve” now has an accompanying video, from The Vaudeville Mews in Des Moines last year. I warn you, this isn’t a multicamera slickened outing, but just a handheld video, taped from the balcony. And it’ll cost you about 21 MB and the latest Quicktime to see. But hey, you asked for it. And you’re certainly welcome to share more of requests by (A) posting in the chatterbox or (B) sending me an electronic message of sorts. That new site I was talking about during the last update is coming, but I imagine by my pacing that it’s likely to be finished by the end of May or early June. So, just hang tight, a’ight?
What Knife It Say?
I’ve just returned from visiting Erik and Blake in California, and it was a very refreshing trip. I got to see the ocean for the first time since I was ten, and discover how ridiculously out of shape I am hiking up a mountain. It’s a very different environment from Vegas, with some extremely beautiful landscapes. I also got to hear a pretty good band called Avery Is Noise, which you may want to check out. As for now, the main update is in the Shows section, and I promise this isn’t some poor attempt at a late April fool. More details on that when the time nears. If you’re wondering what happened to the black/yellow layout, that’s now being ported over to a new domain which I’ll announce later this week.
