New Poll and Sample, Unnecessary Sarcasm

September 23rd, 2003 | Category: Cardboard Canary

After a bit of twiddling I finally managed to put up a new poll, in which you, the viewer, get to decide which new Cardboard Canary song gets to become the next MTV sing-a-long. If you’re the fiftieth voter you win a trip to be on TRL with Carson Daly plus free tanning from Bronz-Body!!!!! *insert clipart of orange-skinned women here* Alright, but really you should go listen to the new sample of “This Wretched Fiasco,” cast your vote, and then link all your friends to our MP3.com site so they can hear the new stuff too. Then gather up your old Cardcan t-shirts and congregate at your nearest street corner with giant markered-up signs that read “Cardboard Canary isn’t dead, they’re just on hiatus!” Seriously. What?

Opaque Windows Sample

September 16th, 2003 | Category: Cardboard Canary, Music

There’s another minute + length MP3 clip in the Audio section for your listening pleasure. It’s “Opaque Windows” this time. Thanks to Andy and Erik for filling in drum and guitar parts for Robby and Bradford during the show yesterday. That was a lot of fun!

Arrival, Shows, Recording Completion!

September 11th, 2003 | Category: Cardboard Canary, Music

Well, we finally arrived in Las Vegas, Nevada three days ago. That was one alternately hellish and beautiful drive. The desert was so hot that the bird that was riding in my passenger seat began vomitting all over. Ech. Anyhow, Blake and I (Justin) just played an acoustic show last night, and things are going quite well. Our latest recording was mixed and mastered the day before we left, and I have some very nice MP3 clips of them which I’ll be uploading to the Web site very soon here.
