Blake Scours Terrain
Today’s news is probably the most band-changing thing to have happened in quite some time. This week Blake (vocals, guitar) decided he will be going on a rather long trip with his brothers, driving around the US, somewhat along the tour route we will be taking. He feels very strongly that he should go and rejoin the band when he returns in May, right before starting the tour at the beginning of June. As for now, Bradford, Devin and I will play our remaining booked show for February 9th and likely cease playing shows until March while we regroup and write new material, thus filling the gaps in our temporarily Blake-less setlist. But fear not, my young, demented children! We shall return shortly with new songs and an EP!

It seems there’s been quite a few photos coming in lately. These latest photos are from our show at the Fallout Shelter a week ago and were taken by my lovely girlfriend Savanna(!). You may gaze upon them here.
“You Complete Me” Sample MP3
I finally posted a clip of our most recently mixed song, “You Complete Me,” which, as I mentioned a couple days ago features some nice cello and upright bass. This song will be on the EP when it comes out next month, so check it out in the Audio section!
No commentsPitcher’s Photos
Impact photographer Dave Davidson got some nice shots of us during our show at Pitcher’s inside the downtown Marriott. You can click here to see them! Also, we have a new show booked for Sunday, the 19th with Eight Miles Out, Before I Go and the Horseshoe Spatulas at the Fallout Shelter, so be there!
EP Nearly Finished
And now, the first recording update in a long, long time. The EP is nearly done and will contain five tracks, including “Homeward Bound,” “The Loon,” “Glee,” “You Complete Me,” and “Worn.” The only song needing touch-ups is “Glee,” and we hope to have that finished by the end of this week. Kady Keller recorded her marvelous violin on Sunday and the rest of the symphonic sounds will be recorded this Wednesday, making the studio version of “Glee” a bit different from the live one.

The winner for the Cardboard Canary size small t-shirt contest which took place last month has been selected. You can read the winner’s entry as well as others here. Thanks to those who came out to the shows last weekend! They were a blast, and we debuted the new song “This Wretched Fiasco.” Be sure to make a trip to this weekend’s show at the Fallout Shelter! More details in the Shows section. Also, recording should resume this month, if all goes according to plan. Peace out, my wretches.
