New “Homeward Bound”
We got “Homeward Bound” mixed after eight hours of recording, and are quite happy with how it sounds. If you have the old version, I recommend deleting it immediately and downloading the new one in the Audio section of this site. Now.

Here’s the latest excitement: We got our new shirts in a few days ago! Go check them out in the Merchandise section and see what you think of the new “Andy” design! If you’d like to be the first to get one, you can grab one at the show tonight at House of Bricks too! The band is also currently working on two new songs. “Alpo Meatloaf” and “Floating At 35 Miles Up” will hopefully make their debut sometime in August, while the lyrics to the latter can be found in the Lyrics section. You can rest assured that while recording has been driving us to perfect our current/old material, Blake, Bradford and I are all in the writing process for new songs, which we’re very excited about. Thanks for your support and patience!

There’s not really a whole lot to say about the album at this time, sadly, but I would just like to encourage you all to head over to the KZZQ Battle of the Bands in a couple weeks and scream very very loudly for us! Also, we landed two more gigs in Cedar Falls for September, so check out the juicy details on those luscious morsels in the Shows section. *wretch*

More Songsmythe Recording
This week we tracked vocals for the “The Loon” and “Homeward Bound.” We accomplished “The Loon” after about six hours of singing, and now Blake is unable to form any words other than “water,” “throat,” “pain,” and “sewerpoon.” We wish that he will get better soon, so that he can once more sing “You Complete Me” next week. We hope to get some more vocals in soon, but as for now, I (Justin) will bask in the hundred degree weather of Las Vegas, while encouraging you all to drive to Cedar Falls (if you don’t already live there) for the show on July 13th! It will be a fabulous show, featuring the musical performance of our dear friends Sophia! Check the Shows section for all the voluptious details!
